Juan José of Austria or John of Austria (the Younger) character figure, who in the Thirty Years War: commanded the Spanish final siege of Barcelona (1651-1652), at the battles of Valenciennes (1656) and Las Dunas (1658). Includes one figure and one horse. The figures are cast in high-quality pewter 28mm and are supplied unpainted.
Inspired by the painting Equestrian Portrait of Juan José de Austria (1648), oil on canvas by Jusepe de Ribera (1591-1652), Royal Palace, Madrid and his anonymous portrait (ca. 1655-1660), Prado Museum, Madrid.
