British Line Infantry, 22nd (The Cheshire) Regiment of the Foot flag (1843). In a 28mm scale, supplied on high-quality paper.
Up to 1858 the ‘finials’ adorning the pikestaffs of a stand of British Army (or Honourable East India Company) regimental colours took the form of a hollow gold coloured spear point, with a transverse bar running across the interior space. Each of the pikestaffs was further adorned with two trailing cords of twisted crimson and gold silk with tassels.
