Enter the Spanish AWI

My last game for the year, well at least in North Queensland, before we head off on holidays was a great little game of Sharp Practice. I had to ensure my recently painted AWI Spanish hit the table before Christmas.

The scenario for our game was the ‘Encounter’ and was between a composite Hessian Army and my Spanish…plus some Allied Indians on each side. The terrain was all designed and painted by Lev over in Western Australia, who has done a fantastic job, especially with the corn fields and the bananas.

Regarding the game, unfortunately my Spanish lads were severely beaten and lost the battle. However, the real winners of the battle was, the leader of the Hessian Allied Indians, Magwa, not only did he and his tribe charge and defeat the Spanish Allied Indians, but they then went on and overran the Spanish Grenadiers, the Spanish Militia and captured two deployment points.
Well done to John and Brian who commanded the Hessian lads and Jeff for assisting in commanding the Spanish. Thanks also to John for hosting the game.
