And just to continue with all things Sudan related I have the pleasure of posting some very nicely painted Egyptian Artillery (painted by Leroy Simpson) because you can not have enough fire power when facing either the Mahdist hoards or the English infidels. These guys will complete my heavy firepower for the Egyptians with two batteries of artillery and a nordenfelt…..now just two more units of Sudanese and some more cavalry and they will be complete. The figures are from the Old Glory Colonial Sudan range.

The Egyptian army is such a fun one to use.
Great work by Leroy – the basing and flow of the figures are very convincing.
Those cannon and crew look really effective-very well painted and based. Which company are the cannons from?
Excellent, love these uniforms!
A nice set of figures from an interesting army.
Thanks for the great comments everyone. The guns are also Old Glory and I think came with the Egyptian Artillery crew…but don't quoate me.

Nathan
For some reason I find white unifiorms a cast iron B*#@ch to paint, unlike these outstanding examples. I'm inspired to keep perservering.
Ha ha I would have to agree with you there. At first I thought the same now I think myself and Leroy have finally mastered it.
Ahh great big guns. A fine addiition
The Egyptian artillery always look like a bunch of waiters from a Cairo Bar!!
