About Us

Elite Miniatures is an online store specialising in high quality 28mm historical gaming figurines. Based in Townsville, North Queensland, Australia. Elite Miniatures was established in 1996 by Nathan Vinson and Scott Robertson, both Veterans of the Australian Army. In 1997, Nathan bought out Scott to become the sole proprietor of Elite Miniatures. During the intervening years, we have also been supported by Leroy Simpson and John McGuire.

Beginning as a Licenced Manufacturer for Elite Miniatures we are now the sole Australian manufacturer for Elite Miniatures and Australian distributor for Empress Miniatures and Claymore castings. Nathan Vinson has been producing Elite Miniatures figures, under licence from Peter Morbey in the UK, for over twenty years. Peter Morbey, of Elite Miniatures UK, has designed the Elite Miniatures Range of figures as high quality 28mm pewter figures for the wargamer and collector.

We have a commitment to community keeping up to date with developments in gaming including basing, painting, exhibition, and gaming events, and seek to promote the continued growth of historical gaming through regular articles published in our blog – Lonely Gamers. It is Elite Miniatures Australia’s belief that our customers’ needs are of the utmost importance and we committed to meeting those needs. As a result, a high percentage of our business is from repeat customers and referrals.

We do not have the complete range of our parent company but we continuously seek to update our ranges with new moulds at least twice per year, ensuring our customers receive the best figures available for the historical gamer and collector. We are only licenced to sell our Elite Miniatures range to Australia, New Zealand and the Asian Pacific Region all other sales are to go through our parent company in the UK, Elite Miniatures – www.eliteminiatures.co.uk.
