Last Sunday Myself and few lads from our club got together and had a crack at the latest Impetvs 2 rules, which we played on a 6×4 table, almost edge to edge. The army lists however were from the Basic Impetvs 0.2 for ease of time and set up, however I think next time we played we just go with the army lists from the books. The game and new introduced rules played well and it was easy to pick up as we also play Basic Impetvs and Baroque (pike & shot version of Impetvs). Just a few additional rules we forgot every now and then, namely the lock shields rule with no pursuit. But overall the new system is good and certainly gives you a decent game and feel for the period.
