The latest addition to my Sharp Practice AWI British Army are two companies of the 3rd Waldeck (Hessians). The regiment serviced in the New York campaign and remained there until November 1778, when it went to Pensacola. In West Florida it was captured by the Spanish at a small battle near Mobile in February 1780 and was exchanged in 1781 to then serve in the New York area until July 1783.

The figures I have painted are from the excellent Perry Miniatures AWI range and based for Sharp Practice.

  1. Hello I’m Jeff and from Chicago, U.S. I happened to come across your different AWI dioramas and I’m very impressed. Excellent painting and wide variety and attention to accuracy. I am a historian who specializes in the American Revolution and collect figures of all scales from 28mm to 1 foot or 33cm. So do you and the others in your group paint your own or is there a source where you are getting them? Is there way for me to purchase any AWI figures? Believe it or not it is hard to find AWI 28mm figures here in the states especially painted. Thanks Jeff Whetstone, email: j.whetstone@comcast.net and phone: 630-244-3476.
